DRAKE LOUIE

KIDS INSTRUCTOR

Drake Louie

Born in 1988, I had an early introduction to martial arts through karate in elementary school, but my true journey began when I started training at Way of Jiu Jitsu in 2016. Early on, I became involved with the youth class, recognizing how Jiu Jitsu instills discipline, perseverance, and confidence—essential tools for navigating life’s challenges. I believe that by building these skills, the next generation not only enhances their own personal growth but also strengthens their ability to support and uplift others, both now and in the future.

Training has brought balance to all aspects of my life, sharpening my ability to learn and perform on the mat, at the office, and even at home. The community and friendships I have made at Way of Jiu Jitsu have been invaluable. My wife, my biggest supporter, has seen firsthand the positive impact Jiu Jitsu has had on me, reinforcing my passion for both training and teaching the next generation. Jiu Jitsu is truly the art of changing oneself.

Drake holds a brown belt in Jiu Jitsu and a yellow belt in Judo. He has won local Jiu Jitsu and Judo tournaments.
