Quynh Nguyen was born in Englewood, CO and raised in Louisville. Quynh’s jiu jitsu journey started in 2020 after having had been in the Way of Jiu Jitsu family as a parent to a special needs child who started before she did. 

She wanted to find something that would be natural therapy both mentally and physically for her daughter. As her daughter began to transform and become more confident, Quynh saw the beauty of jiu jitsu beyond just the physical art itself and wanted to begin her own journey alongside her daughter. 

Quynh’s career as a dentist for kids and her practicing jiu jitsu ended up working together to help bring out the best in both areas of her life. She has devoted her life to helping others as a mentor and advocate for children. 

She has a strong passion for being a role model to the younger generations to help pave their lives for a more successful future. She joined the Way of Jiu Jitsu family as a kids coach in 2021 and also received her blue belt under Professor Nobuo Yagai the same year. Quynh loves Way of Jiu Jitsu and sees it as a second family for her and her family and has adopted jiu jitsu to be a way of life.
